The fine print, kept short

Plain-English legal-ish text written by two home winemakers, not lawyers. If you need this for anything that actually matters, run it past someone with a JD.
By using backupwine.com you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the site.
Who we are
Backup Wine is a trade name of PerformStreet LLC, a Michigan limited liability company located at 28221 Beck Rd A3, Wixom, MI 48393. References to "Backup Wine," "we," "us," and "our" mean PerformStreet LLC.
What this site is
Backup Wine is an editorial site about home winemaking. We write reviews, guides, and shopping lists, and we link out to third-party retailers. We do not sell wine, kits, or equipment directly.
Age requirement
Home winemaking is legal for adults in the United States (21+ in most states; check your local rules). By using this site you confirm you are of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction.
Content & accuracy
We write what we believe is true based on our own experience. Winemaking involves yeast, glass, stairs, and sometimes basements — use common sense. Information here is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
Third-party links
We link to retailers like Amazon, Northern Brewer, MoreWine, and others. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, prices, availability, shipping, or policies. Some links may be affiliate links — see our Affiliate Disclosure.
User submissions
If you submit a community post, supplier listing, or rental request, you confirm the information is yours to share and accurate to the best of your knowledge. We may edit, decline, or remove submissions at our discretion.
Intellectual property
The Backup Wine name, logo, photos, and original written content are ours. Feel free to share links and quote short excerpts with attribution; please don't republish whole articles or photos without asking.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Backup Wine, Russ, and Todd are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or anything you bought through a link from it. Your wine, your call.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after we update means you accept the new version.
